series of interviews, competencies and on job training for applicants to go
through.
Proffesional development at Pelita Nusantara is
viewed as an integral part of teachers and staffs work. Pelita Nusantara has
weekly share and learn session, language & literature enrichment , and
individual plan for professional development activities.
Pelita Nusantara is strategically located in Perumahan Jati Indah no. 99 Kudus, central Java, Indonesia.This school is strategically situated and is designed to provide an environment conducive for children to learning. Our facilities are: full air conditioned classrooms, Learning centres area, Library for children and parents, playgrounds, Physical Education area,convenient location, safe and hygenic environment.
Children
will enjoy their own free activities into six learning areas supervised by
educator. The areas are: 1. Practical life exercises; Practical life exercises
provide the opportunity for purposeful work and will assist children in their
physical, emotional, and social development. 2. Sensorial education; these
activities are designed to reinforce the 5 senses to help guide the children in
learning to discriminate,clarify, and compare, as well as preparing them for
intellectual development in an orderly
manner. 3. Classroom skills; children will learn the basic needs before they
study in the real class,they will learn how to hold the scissor,
pencils,crayons,hole punch,stamp,etc. 4. Communication, Language and Literacy;
In this area children do not learn by heart, but utilise all their senses to
help them read and write with proper understanding. Discovering language
becomes interesting; 5. Mathematics; Mathematics materials are designed to give
the child a sound understanding of numbers and their relationship. Work is always
introduced in a simple and sensorial way so that the child can see, hold, and
feel a number or concept and gradually be led to abstract undestanding. 6.
Educational toys; the traditional and modern educational toys are introduced
and children will enjoy them. Children will learn the social and moral skills,
such as sharing, permission,ask for help,work together, problem solving and
another moral thoughts.

This
program introduces children to study and learn into group. Teacher will conduct
the children to pray, greeting, learn the names of the
days,weather,season,rhymes and songs. There will be a theme that both teacher
and student will be discussed. Cheldren will learn manners,
languages,science,reading skills and concepts, social and emotional
development,writing skills and social studies
®Snack
time
School
will be provides the various food to share. It is allowed for children to bring
food and drink from home but they must learn to share. Healthy foods are
suggested.
®Story
telling
Pelita
Nusantara provides a small and interesting children library. Children will be
able to choose a story book and give to the teacher for story telling program.
Teacher will read a story book into class and discuss with children the moral
thoughts. In this program children will learn some characters, learn to listen
and learn to solve the problems.
®Creative
Art
To
encourage children to express themselves, interesting, and fun activities such
as drawing, painting, collage work, and handicraft will be planned for them.Through
these guided activities, our children are able to experience success and this,
in turn, will help boost your child self- esteem.
®Physical
Education
In
this program children will be enjoy to play and learn modern and traditional
sport/games. Their gross motoric will be stimulated through this program. The
games/sports such as, kick the ball, bowling, hop scotch,rope skipping,ladder
and snakes,’cublak-cublak suweng’, ‘sakura’,etc.
®Religion
and Behaviour
Religion is a very
important part of our program; and as a nondenominational school, we cater to
all religions practiced in Indonesia. We are very proud that at Pelita
Nusantara, we practice openness, respect, and tolerance among different
religions.

KINDERGARTEN:
The learning program of Pelita Nusantara
Kindergarten provides a caring learning environment , in order to facilitate
the transition from Pre-School to elementary school. Besides the Pre-School
learning program based, the Kindergarten learning program provide with
activities that developed language skill, science, mathematics,religion and
behaviour.
Pelita Nusantara Play Group &
Kindergarten was established in year 2004 with a vision to be a school to
promote caring, confidence and independence of each child with a balance of
child initiated and teacher directed activities in Indonesian language, however
we introduce English for simple instructions.
Through a positive environment, we aim to
achieve a solid base for a child’s physical, intellectual, social and emotional
growth with the support from all parents and our dedicated teachers.
We are a school that commits and focuses on
young learners as we can make a difference in each child’s life.
